Also included are a very rare early 18th century karabela palasz of the Royal Janissary Bodyguard of Augustus the Strong, King of Poland (1670-1733), a jeweled Bukharan honor pichau, a very fine Qajar shortsword, an early Polish or Hungarian Hussar’s saber, a late 17th century Polish Karabela with marked blade and several very fine shamshirs, including one with the imperial parasol mark indicating imperial ownership, inlaid in gold. In addition, the sale includes matchlocks and flintlocks including a highly-embellished Indian toradar musket, and armour, including a rare Moro brass helmet in the Spanish conquistador style, a fine Tibetan silver-mounted iron helmet, Japanese and European suits of armour, a Caucasian miguelet, and a very rare Laotian shield.
